Middle School Counseling Department

The middle school counseling department plays a crucial role in supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development during a critical stage of their education. Parents can turn to the counseling department

The Lifeline Middle School Counseling Department serves as  as a valuable resource for supporting our students' growth and success through:

Academic Guidance: Middle school counselors help students navigate their academic paths by providing guidance on course selection, study skills, and academic goal-setting. Counselors assist students in understanding their strengths and weaknesses, exploring career interests, and planning for high school coursework.

Social and Emotional Support: Middle school is a time of significant emotional and social development. Counselors provide a safe and supportive environment for students to discuss any concerns they may have, whether related to friendships, family issues, stress, or mental health. They offer individual counseling sessions and may also facilitate group sessions on topics such as peer relationships, self-esteem, and conflict resolution.

Transition Support: Transitioning from elementary school to middle school can be daunting for many students. Counselors help ease this transition by providing support for students adjusting to the increased academic expectations and social dynamics of middle school.

Parent Education and Support: Counselors offer resources and workshops for parents on topics relevant to middle school students.

College and Career Readiness: At Lifeline, we do not believe its too early to begin preparing for your child's future. While primarily focused on the middle school experience, our Middle School counselor(s) also introduce students to concepts related to college and career readiness. They can provide information about high school graduation requirements, college preparatory courses, and career exploration activities to help students start thinking about their future goals.
